Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of drug and alcohol rehabilitation center on account of a drug or alcohol related offense. This will occur for example when someone is found guilty of drunk driving or DWI, and for any other kind of drug related crime which has led the court to think the individual has any sort of drug abuse issue. Not every person has the option of taking part in a drug and alcohol treatment program as a criminal justice client, but when this option is ordered by the judge it is strongly advised that the individual do everything they can to get the most from this opportunity. Most of the time, other penalties and consequences could be entirely eliminated or lessened in the event the individual succeeds in rehab and finishes the drug rehab program that has been ordered for them. New offenders would be the most probable criminal justice clients because it has been determined that criminal justice clients that experience rehab in lieu of other consequences have significantly lower recidivism rates than those people who are ordered to incarceration or similar consequences. Ultimately, it saves a legal court system both money and time when criminal justice clients receive powerful treatment.
