People who have handicaps in life, like a hearing impairment, may be predisposed to drug abuse due to their handicap. Being hearing impaired and unable to handle everyday life due to this handicap might cause undue anxiety, and trigger drug abuse. Likewise, those who are hearing impaired can encounter certain problems within a drug and alcohol rehab program that might not accommodate the demands of the hearing impaired.
