Criminal justice clients are people who are in any sort of drug rehab program due to alcohol or drug related offense. This will happen for example when someone is convicted of driving under the influence or DWI, and for any other type of drug related offense that has led the judge to think the individual has any type of drug abuse issue. Not everybody has the option of getting involved in an alcohol and drug rehab program as a criminal justice client, however, if this option is ordered through the judge it's well advised that the individual do everything they are able to to benefit from this chance. First time offenders are the most likely criminal justice clients because it has been verified that criminal justice clients that do experience rehab instead of other consequences have much lower recidivism rates than those who are ordered to incarceration or receive other penalties. Eventually, it saves a legal court system both time and expense when criminal justice clients obtain powerful rehab.
